About the role:

We are excited to announce a vacancy for a full-time SEN-Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), particularly non-verbal cases. This role has opened up as a new addition to our dedicated SEN team, reflecting our commitment to expanding our support for students with special educational needs.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly non-verbal students.

• Strong understanding of SEN best practices and familiarity with IEPs.

• Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in alternative communication methods.

• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to non-verbal students with ASD.

• Implement and monitor individualised education plans (IEPs).

• Utilise alternative communication methods to facilitate student interaction and learning.

• Assist in developing and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

• Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and parents to track student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
