Teaching Assistant  

Exciting Opportunity for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a Primary School in the London borough of Camden. 

Classroom Support is thrilled to partner with a dynamic Primary school in Camden, currently seeking dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join their team starting in September 2024. These positions offer a long-term commitment, extending into the next academic year on a sustained supply basis. 

The school, boasting a commendable 'Good' Ofsted rating, is well-equipped with a substantial Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision and a sensory room catering to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Learning Difficulties. 

While the SEN environment may present occasional challenges in managing children with behavioural difficulties, the experience is profoundly rewarding, complemented by a fantastic and supportive team. 

Key Details: 

• Start Date: September 2024 

• Contract: Long-term temporary with potential for permanent placement 

• Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday 

• Pay Rate: £85+ per day for qualified candidates 

• SEN Experience: Essential, particularly in supporting children with ASD or ADHD 

Requirements: 

• Proven experience in supporting children with challenging behaviours 

• Adept at forming connections with students who face engagement challenges 

• Previous experience in a Mainstream or SEN school setting is advantageous 

• Demonstrates a firm yet kind and caring approach when necessary 

• Experience supporting children with ASD or ADHD
