Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Regular Audits: Conduct inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Employee Support: Provide guidance and support to employees and management on health, safety, and environmental matters.
• Thorough Investigations: Liaise with site management, Human Resources, and Occupational Health to ensure thorough investigations are conducted in line with employment law for any health concerns raised.
• Data Analysis: Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to monitor and analyse safety performance data.
• Training and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver training programs that promote a safety-conscious culture.
• Incident Management: Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Emergency Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to effectively manage potential crises or disasters.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and drive the implementation of effective safety and environmental initiatives.
• Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health, safety, and environmental activities.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as a Health, Safety, and Environment Manager in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Professional certifications in health, safety, and environmental management.
• NEBOSH diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Membership of IOSH.
• Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
