Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Weston-Super-Mare

Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 (+ bonus)

Shift: 2 shift (days: M-F)

Our client, a leading manufacturer supplying products to a wide range of market sectors is looking for two PLC programmers to join their existing Maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a programmer or Maintenance Engineer with significant experience in making PLC programme adjustments to join a market leader that is committed to enhancing equipment performance and providing clear development opportunities for their workforce.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Working with Siemens S7 both for fault finding and improvements/ adjustments to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
• working closely with and train the shift technicians to better understand the S7 programme and associated hardware.
• Ensuring that production targets are met using the appropriate technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of technical problems
• Driving the move from a reactive culture to an improvement culture enhancing equipment performance and reliability

The skills and experience you'll bring to the team:

• Ideally level 3 related qualification
• Proven experience making PLC programme adjustments within a production environment
• Siemens S& experience as well as TIA Portal, Win CC, Scada, HMI, Scalance and Profinet experience ideal.
• Familiar with Rexroth Servo motors and Indra drives. Experience with Inverters and 3 phase motors also required.
