Site Manager - Steelworks - London

A leading contractor with over 30 years of expertise in residential and commercial metalwork projects is currently seeking a Site Manager to oversee multiple projects in London. With a continuously expanding portfolio of main contract partners and a reliable supply chain, this role offers a prime opportunity for a skilled Steelworks Site Manager to join a dynamic team.

The Site Manager's Role

The successful Site Manager will join a prestigious company renowned for its excellence in delivering high-quality metalwork projects. They will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinating activities of both company personnel and subcontractors, with a primary focus on health and safety, planning, programming, and coordination with off-site activities. The Site Manager will manage and control on-site operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to project timelines. Additionally, they will monitor, record, and document site activities, compiling comprehensive progress reports.

The Site Manager

- In-depth knowledge of installing balconies, balustrades, staircases, canopies, and secondary steelwork for high-rise residential and commercial contracts.
- Proven experience in planning and programming steelwork installations, along with associated packages.
- Proficient in producing risk assessments, method statements, and related site documentation.
- Demonstrated expertise in erecting various steel structures, including high-rise, medium-rise, city center buildings, and refurbishment projects, with proficiency in welding operations.

Key Qualifications:

- CSCS Gold/Black in site management.
- CPCS (beneficial but not essential).
- SMSTS or equivalent IOSH certification.
- Experience in architectural metalwork / secondary steel is essential.
- Valid Driver's License.
