Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Bournemouth
Salary up to £45,000 per year (Potentially slightly negotiable)
Holidays – 23+ banks, 5% employer pension contribution, Life assurance 4* salary & Company wide bonus scheme
Monday – Friday 7- 4:30 p.m. (45 hours per week, two 30 min breaks)
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Engineer is responsible for undertaking all aspects of preventative and reactive plant maintenance, providing guidance, direction, and leadership to junior engineers. Around 47 employees on site, with 3 sites in the surrounding area, this site is used for customers as a tipping site, green waste recycling plant. Earth, soil, wood waste, green waste etc.
Duties

Mechanical fault finding on plant machinery

Reactive and pre planned maintenance

Physical role working on a 40 acre site outside in elements at times and in the workshop as well

Working on hydraulic hoses, pumps, gear boxes, motors, excavators, loading shovels and telehandlers
Experience / Qualifications

Mechanical engineering background is essential

Previous experience working with hydraulics, large plant machinery, pumps, gear boxes, motors

Heavy manufacturing, manufacturing, HGV mechanic
