Sports Coach (Kids bicycle Instructor)

Salary: £16.33-£20 per hour or £(phone number removed) - £38400 pro rata (depending on experience)

Description of the Sports Coach role

Glide Bike Classes for Kids are the perfect solution for parents looking to help their children develop balance, coordination, and motor skills and get them riding their bikes stabiliser free.

Based on the Balanceability programme, our structured class provides a fun and safe way for children to transition from a balance bike to a pedal bike.

We are looking for sports coaches and assistant sports coaches to help Glide on its mission to make the UK stabiliser free.

We are currently looking for sports coaches in all areas of the U.K.

Flexible working hours, highly competitive rate of pay, free training, free nationally recognised qualifications

You will be responsible for teaching classes of children aged 4-12+years old to ride a bike without stabilisers within a 2 or 3 hour class using the methods created by Glide Bike Classes for Kids. Full training provided.

As a Glide sports coach we will require you to be:

• Great with kids
• Passionate about cycling
• Reliable,
• Punctual,
• Flexible,
• Have a can-do attitude
• A good level of fitness
• The ability to be calm under pressure

You are a qualified sports coach or teacher with previous experience of successfully teaching a new skill to a child in a group environment or a university student training to be a P.E. teacher or interest in physical education and sport.

You are looking to supplement your income in your spare time or wanting to earn money during weekends and school holidays and term time teaching directly in schools.

Flexible working contract to begin with, but could lead to a full time job.

As the Sports Coach you will have the opportunity to teach at the following times subject to bookings:

• Mon-Fridays – after school classes
• Weekend – Saturday and Sunday
• School holiday classes will be your busiest time and when most of your classes will take place.
• 5-7 children class – 2 hours
• 10-12 children class – 3 hours (with 1 assistant)

Classes will take place at either a leisure centre, school, within the area you are located.

Requirements for the Sports Coach

• All training and equipment needed to carry out a Glide class provided.
• Enhanced DBS background check.
• First Aid training is required and provided if you do not have any.
• Full UK driving Licence required.
