*** 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
*** ‘Good’ primary school with a 20-place SEN unit.
 
Requirements:

• At least a 2:2 bachelor's degree in psychology, or a related field.
• A passion for the education and development of SEN pupils.
• Commitment to following strict safeguarding policies.
• Previous experience of working with pupils, or in a school setting, is beneficial but not mandatory.

 
The Role

• Assisting teaching staff in adapting lesson plans and learning materials to accommodate the needs of pupils with additional learning needs.
• Creating personalised support strategies to improve the achievement levels of SEN pupils.
• Partaking in training courses and CPD opportunities to ensure the pupils are supported as effectively as possible.
• Supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis across the curriculum.

This ‘Good’, high achieving school saw 30% of Year 6 pupils exceed expected standards in their reading and mathematics SAT examinations.  The senior leadership team is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide SEN pupils with extra support across the syllabus to aid their understanding and raise grades.
