We have a superb opportunity for a Sales Engineering Manager to join a well established and reputable company based in the Peterborough area.  The role is office based but will be covering the UK and Ireland so travel will be required.  The Sales Engineer will ideally have experience in an Engineering environment and a basic understanding of AutoCAD / SolidWorks design software with be advantageous or you may have a mechanical engineering qualification and a background within the food industry or possibly chemical or pharmaceutical. The role

• To promote and sell a specialised range of food processing equipment from the companies range and of their partner’s from single machines to full turn-key processing lines.   Full product training will be given
• Must be Self-motivated and Enthusiastic
• Ability to generate and manage sales enquiries and to deliver practicable and cost-effective turn-key solutions to our customers
• To seek out new business from a vast range of opportunities within a highly competitive market
• Ability to work as an individual, but also as part of an existing team of experienced sales professionals, sales design team and our associated partners
• Willingness to travel extensively within the target area, UK and Irealand and from time to time overseas, as required

Customer Base:

• From small / medium through to “Blue Chip” manufacturing companies

Qualifications:

• Experience in an Engineering environment would be an advantage and a basic understanding of AutoCAD / SolidWorks design software
• Ideally qualified to B-Tech mechanical engineering and with good grades in English and Maths to GCSE and/or A-Level
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as a minimum
• Understanding and prior use of Customer Databases and Reporting procedures an advantage, but not essential
