Teaching Assistant

A high achieving Secondary School are looking for candidates who have an interest in teaching to join the team to work as a Teaching Assistant.

The role is based in a Secondary School which is located in Barnet and is to start in September 2024. It will be a full-time role on-going.

You will join a focused and driven team, committed to providing the highest standards of education and service. The appointed person will benefit from a generous local government pension scheme in addition to many other attractive benefits and working conditions.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student learning and development, and will be able to work effectively with teachers, students and parents. You will be expected to support students in the classroom, as well as provide individualised assistance to students who require extra support.

Requirements:

• A relevant qualification in education or a related field.
• Experience in a similar role, working with secondary school students.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting student learning.
• The ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• DBS (ideally on the update service)
• Safeguarding training
• 2 satisfactory references covering the last 2 years of employment.
