The Vehicle Body builder position is working with a UK leading manufacturing business that has further growth plans and expansion in the forthcoming years. The workshop is modern, clean and cannot be matched with any other business in the local area

You would be responsible for undertaking various aspects of vehicle body building and construction on a wide range of vehicle types. Installing and commissioning various parts and components and working with different materials, hand tools and power tools, during vehicle construction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the construction of commercial vehicle bodies, as per drawings and specifications provided, using hand tools and power tools.
• Interpreting drawings and schematic layouts drawings.
• Measuring and cutting materials to the correct specifications.
• Fitting, assembling and commissioning components, as required, to specification or drawings.

Requirements of the Vehicle Body builder -

• Weld up to 15mm Mild steel
• Fabricate
• Read engineering drawings
• Vertical weld
• Assembly of vehicles
