VNA Recruitment are currently recruiting for Street Cleansing Operatives for our client based in Carmarthen.
As a Street Cleansing Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of our public spaces. Your work will ensure that streets, parks, and communal areas are clean, safe, and inviting for residents and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweeping streets, pavements, and public areas
- Emptying bins and removing litter
- Responding to cleansing emergencies, such as spills or hazardous waste
- Reporting fly-tipping and other environmental issues
- Operating street cleansing machinery and equipment
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies
- Interacting courteously with the public and addressing any queries
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual labour
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Full UK driving licence is essential
