Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging and accessible maths lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH challenges.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH difficulties.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to ensure holistic support for each child.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their individual learning goals.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to support students’ emotional and social development.
  • Foster a love of learning and a positive attitude towards maths in your students.
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
