Streamline is recruiting for a diligent and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operator to join our client based in Tilbury. They are dedicated to delivering high-quality agricultural products and exceptional customer service. The Weighbridge Operator will be responsible for accurately weighing incoming and outgoing grain shipments, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves operating the weighbridge system, coordinating vehicle movement, performing routine equipment checks, and assisting with inventory management and quality control processes. Candidates should have experience in weighbridge operations, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type - 2 month contract (With the chance of extension / Being taken on permanently)

Job Summary:

The Weighbridge Operator will be responsible for operating the weighbridge system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing grain shipments. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of weight records, maintaining efficient traffic flow, and supporting the overall operations of the grain facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the weighbridge to weigh trucks and other vehicles transporting grain.
  • Accurately record weight data and maintain detailed records in the weighbridge system.
  • Ensure all weighing operations comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments by cross-checking weights.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other staff to coordinate vehicle movement and loading/unloading operations.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance of the weighbridge equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Generate and provide weight certificates and other necessary documentation to drivers and management.
  • Assist with inventory management and quality control processes as needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment around the weighbridge area.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues promptly to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Weighbridge Operator or similar role in the grain or agricultural industry.
  • Familiarity with weighbridge operations, systems, and related software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to weighbridge operations.
