We are currently working with a local NHS Trust who are seeking a Band 4 Specialist Family Worker to support in delivering high quality brief interventions to Service Users within the criminal justice system, based across Staffordshire.

Location: Across Staffordshire

Rate of pay: £14.80 p/h Umbrella

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Contract: 3 month initial contract with the view of extension

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate harm reduction interventions including the delivery of Naloxone training to clients, families and partnerships.
  • Supporting service users who are released from custody and HMPs as well as supporting service users digitally who are released from other prisons.
  • Contributing to service users working collaboratively to build their recovery capital and ensuring positive recovery outcomes.
  • Ensuring service users have scheduled appointments and remove barriers to attendance.
  • Promoting visible recovery to clients within the criminal justice system.

Requirements:

  • Understanding and awareness of the effects of substance misuse on an individual and the community.
  • Experience in a drug/alcohol field is essential.
