The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will provide individualized support to a specific student, helping them navigate their academic journey and overcome any challenges they may face. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the student receives the attention and encouragement they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-on-one support to a designated student, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tailored educational plans and strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver customized lessons and activities that align with the student’s needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the student feels safe and supported.
  • Monitor the student’s progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Adapt support methods based on the student’s evolving needs.
  • Encourage the student’s social and emotional development, promoting confidence and independence.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A passion for education: A genuine desire to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Relevant qualifications: A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience would get a preference.
  • Experience in a similar role: Prior experience providing one-on-one support to students is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience and empathy: A nurturing and understanding approach to working with students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: The ability to adjust strategies to meet the student's changing needs.
  • Collaborative spirit: Willingness to work closely with teachers and other staff members.
  • Knowledge of individualized learning plans: Familiarity with creating and implementing tailored educational strategies.
