Health and Safety manager position available near Sheffield, 5-month contract, paying circa £360.00 per day.

The HSE manager on this project will be covering all aspects of Health, Safety and Temporary Works on factory strip out and machinery/equipment removal project. We need someone with good CDM knowledge and experience.Works being carried out on site will involve the Mechanical and Electrical removal of Machinery and other works in the factory. Experience in heavy engineering, machinery removal / installation projects will be required.

You will be working closely with the Principal Contractors Project Management team and Safety Division to ensure all compliances are met on site. Overseeing a large workforce and various pieces of plant, cranes and other equipment being utilised on site, for day-to-day operations on the site. Other responsibilities will include -

•             Running weekly toolbox talks

•             Building strategic working relationships and gaining commitment at all levels

•             Review of all contractor Method Statements & Risk Assessments.

•             Providing accurate safety guidance and advice to both site operatives and site management

•             Troubleshooting the contractor’s previous Safe Working Practises violations.

•             Setting up Collaboration meetings / Monthly Director meetings.

•             Daily Site Audits.

•             Weekly reports.

•             Assessment and compliance checks of method statements and risk assessments.

•             Experience or understanding in health and safety for lifting operations on a site involving cranes and other lifting equipment.

We would like to hear from Health and Safety experts with NEBOSH General Cert and ideally CSCS black card level. Once again we need someone with good CDM knowledge and experience

The contract is due to start in July, there will be a requirement to work some weekends.
