My client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their busy Special Works Department. About the Company

My client have been delivering high-quality construction projects for over 40 successful years.  They are very well known and have won many awards. The Special Works Department handles projects that require unique expertise and attention to detail, ensuring client satisfaction and project success. 

Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor in our Special Works Department, you will be responsible for managing up to three projects simultaneously, with individual project values reaching up to £1 million. You will play a crucial role in cost management, project estimation, contract administration, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates
• Preparing, negotiating, and analysing tenders and contracts
• Managing project budgets and advising on cost management
• Conducting risk and value management assessments
• Overseeing financial progress and providing accurate reports
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the special works sector
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and legislation
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively
