The school are looking to appoint a Science specialist on a part time basis from September 2024. The department has developed a strong reputation for progression, with staff fostering a positive approach to learning whilst promoting the benefits of the subject area. Ofsted made particular note of the school's dedication to improvement within the department, and the cohesive nature of the staffing.

What you'll need to succeed


The opening within the Science department is for general Science across both KS3 and KS4, working on a part time basis three days a week. The school are keen to find someone who is as dedicated to the whole department as they are to their individual teaching, as the culture of the Science department is a nurturing one, where staff are dedicated to their craft. Flexibility, resilience, and commitment are three key characteristics that the school value most, and it is key that you possess these in order to succeed. The ideal candidate for this role will be;

  • A calm yet passionate practitioner
  • A Science specialist with QTS
  • In possession of a DBS or willing to apply for one
  • Committed to a long term role with potential for extension
  • Reflective in their approach and willing to learn
