What is the role?

As a Digital Technology Engineer within our ranks, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of the gas sector while advancing your own professional journey. This brand new department is at the forefront of driving change in the operational technology space.

Responsibilities

- Aid in development of the latest technology, standards, and best practice into nZeros OT equipment.

- Carry out cyber security threat assessments in line with IEC 62443 or equivalent.

- Complete asset vulnerabilities identification activities.

- Research and understand the latest advancements in IT and network technologies.

- Complete R&D activities aligned to the Digital Technology Divisions 4 key Market Areas:

  • OT Cyber Security
  • Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT)
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Big Data Analytics

Requirements

- Have a minimum of at least 5 years' experience within the IT and Software Operational Technology market

- Familiarity with high-level programming language/s (Like Python, NodeJS)

- Familiarity with Web development languages (like PHP, JavaScript, and HTML)

- Familiarity with IEC61131 programming languages

- Familiarity with PLC programming IDEs such as RSLogix 5000, GX Developer, Codesys and TIA Portal

- Familiarity with databases such as SQL

- Familiarity with database integration for web services.

- Understanding of IoT devices protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, CoAP, etc.

- Familiarity with client-server architecture

The salary banding for this role is £40,000 - £50,000and is based on an applicant's Skills, Training and Competence.
