This makes us the face of the energy supplier; the ones who visit your home or business and our qualified Dual Fuel Meter Operatives undertake the installation. In addition to this we also undertake revenue services work for your energy suppliers and pride ourselves in delivering first class customer service.

Summary of the role

This is a specialist role with line management responsibilities. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring MPAAS meet all our legal and client instructed duties, relevant to our Electrical operations.

Your overarching key responsibilities

The main responsibilities are as follows.

  • Draft, Maintain & release all Electrical safety and technical documents including working procedures
  • Ensure MPAAS remain compliant with all regulatory/industry changes
  • Complete & assist with industry electrical audits CoMCoP, TAA, NICEIC
  • Attending industry forums where required
  • Conduct investigation into electrical incidents & non-conformances
  • Analyse data and provide performance reports to the Head of HSEQ as requested
  • Identify areas for improvement and create engaging content for field operatives
  • First point of contact for all client electrical queries & field escalations
  • Manage a team of HSEQ auditors

Where you will fit in the Company

This role sits in the HSEQ department, the role holder will report directly into the Head of Health & Safety, this is a hybrid role predominately working from home, our offices in Haydock & remotely in field supporting engineers where required.

What we are ideally looking for in you

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in drafting high level Policies, Procedures and working instructions
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a team of people
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a compliance team
  • Significant experience within whole current & LVCT electrical metering from both an installation & compliance perspective with an in depth knowledge of Elexon BSC COP.
  • Certificate of competency in Single Phase, Three Phase & LVCT Metering
  • Significant knowledge of electrical principles
  • Ability to communicate with and influence internal and external customers at all levels of an organisation
  • Working knowledge of standard computer software, including Microsoft Office, Visio and PowerBI

Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Additional experience & qualifications for the installation of HV CT Meters
  • Additional experience & qualifications in cable jointing and installation of electrical supply & Metering equipment
  • Experience of both domestic and commercial electrical installations with experience of installation, inspection & testing.
  • Level 3 Electrical qualification
  • 18th edition wiring regs
  • Electrical Inspection and testing qualification
  • JIB Gold Card Holder
  • Experience in renewable technologies (solar, wind, battery storage & ground or air source heat pumps)
  • Experience in EV charge point installation
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH National Certificate or equivalent

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £44,000 - £47,000

Bonus: Company performance related bonus of up to 15%

They will have a great deal of autonomy so they must have the ability to prioritise workloads and understand which areas within their scope have the biggest potential impact on the business and our clients.

The role will be supported by the Head of HSEQ and will be considered to be the subject matter expert in the department.
