The role is the delivery of multi trade maintenance services to the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC), Materials Recycling Facility (MRF), Composting Facility, Residual Waste Reception Hall, Waste Treatment Plant, Anaerobic Digestion Plant and supporting administration office.

The maintenance delivery services consist of preventative and reactive work, project work, supporting capital investment and life cycle work, as required.

The role forms part of a self-contained maintenance team working closely with the Maintenance Planner in particular to assist and undertake upkeep of repair tasks at the interior or exterior of the facility at South Kirkby. We will rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs. Deft hands and technical knowledge are important parts of a right candidate's arsenal. You must be well-organized with strong general repair skills and be able to organise additional support for larger jobs with the help of specialist tradesmen if required. Prior experience in the handyman and multi-trade industry is key to being a successful candidate.

Your key responsibilities:
• Painting & Decorating skills
• Routine Maintenance Jobs around the offices
• Plumbing Work (changing taps, replacing sinks, point of use water heaters)
• Basic brick and concrete works
• Perform Fire System Pump checks and run up the engines and make note of readings and pressures weekly
• Undertake light installation or carpentry (build cabinets, plaining doors)
• Repair equipment or appliances
• Basic grounds keeping / gardening skills
• Identify and report the need for major repairs

Essential Criteria for this role:
• Proven experience as a multi-skilled tradesmen
• Understanding of plumbing, brick and concrete works, decoration, carpentry, and basic electrics
• Attention to detail is a must-have
• 3 Years Experience
• Full UK Driving License
• Ability to write job reports in line with our maintenance system.
• Valid CSCS card preferred
