It's rare to find a completely remote role in building control. It's even harder to find one that has a focus on class 2 projects.

This new building control job will see you work as a plan checker based anywhere in the UK. You will work on a variety of projects from simple domestic extensions, loft conversions to schools, flats, housing and muti-story developments. Some will be industrial or mixed use buildings. This variety will extend the enteirty of the country so you'll get to work on projects outside your local area.

If you are looking for a role which has full flexibility, a really supportive manager, a mix of projects then this will be ideal for you. What's more is that you get paid a handsome salary of around £60k plus benefits taking the package value way above £70,000 per annum.

You won't be trading in on potential progression either. This role is due to promotion within the team. The business only recruit internally for management, senior management and director level positions.

If you are concerned about registering next time and want to have the opportunity to continue to register as a registered building inspector for plan checking and site inspections then this role will be flexible to do that. Heck, you can even do it a day a week if you want to do it some of the time. But that choice is yours.
