Job Summary

Alecto Recruitment are working with an industry leader in the delivery of building engineering and services, who are now looking to employ a field-based Electrician in the Hertfordshire area.

To support with the above, we are now looking to appoint an Electrician / Multi Skilled Electrician in the Hertfordshire area as part of the maintenance team.

Responsibilities and Duties

As Electrician, you will work as part of the maintenance team covering mostly commercial buildings such as EPD's, Sports pavilions, Offices, Schools etc. Duties will include:

• Electrical Maintenance: Conduct routine electrical maintenance to ensure systems are functioning optimally.
• Building Services Maintenance: Maintain and repair various building management systems.
• Heating and Hot water control systems: Repair, replace and install
• Renewables: PV's, ASHP's Service and maintain, repair, replace and install
• Lighting: Install, maintain, and repair lighting systems.
• High and Low Voltage: Work with both high and low voltage systems.
• Rewiring: Perform rewiring tasks as necessary to update or repair electrical systems.
• AHU (Air Handling Units): Maintain and repair AHU systems.
• FCU (Fan Coil Units): Maintain and repair FCU systems.
• PPMs (Planned Preventive Maintenance): Carry out planned preventive maintenance
• Multi-Skilled Maintenance: Perform a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple disciplines.
• Installation Power: Install power systems and components.
• Reactive Maintenance: Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues promptly

Qualification and Education Requirements:

• Fully Qualified Maintenance Electrician: Candidates must possess City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualifications.
• Driving Licence: A clean driving licence is mandatory.
• 18th Edition Certification: Candidates should be certified under the 17th or 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
• City & Guilds approved 2391-52: Inspection and testing
• Maintenance Experience: Ideally, candidates will have maintenance experience within a commercial organisation, preferably with a service provider.
• Multi-Skilled Maintenance Experience: Demonstrated ability in various maintenance tasks is highly valued

To be considering for this role you will be an experienced and electrically qualified electrician or multi skilled electrician, who is happy travelling across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, commutable to Hemel Hempstead.
