The Company
Our client is an independent third party assessing the fire performance of products
The Role
In this key role, the successful candidate will be a part of a practical team providing the full range of activities required for building and creating the fire tests and post-test activities. Adhering to the highest standards of health and safety compliance and best practise.
Responsibilities
Creating the constructional elements of a furnace test including the set-up of instrumentation such as thermocouples and transducers.
Monitoring fire tests.
Clean up and reinstatement of furnace after fire tests.
Requirements
Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
Strong communicational and organisational skills
General proficiency in the use of IT
Experience of Construction or Engineering (Bricklaying/ Joinery/ Welding/etc)
Willingness to be part of a Team
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge and understanding of a fire testing environment
Ability to interpret technical and construction drawings
Ability to measure, analyse and record data
Demonstratable experience in a similar role
