Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead our client’s culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-end dining and a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for growth, including skills training at our client’s prestigious Mayfair Japanese restaurant for those eager to master this cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Develop and innovate menu items featuring sushi, robata-grilled dishes, tempura, and other Japanese specialties.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling kitchen costs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with management on menu planning and special events.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fine dining or high-end restaurant.
2. Expertise in Japanese cuisine, including sushi, robata, and tempura.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
5. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
