Assistant Civil Design Engineer Wanted for a Leading Housebuilder

Seeking an Assistant Design Engineer( or experienced civils technician) to join a highly respected house-builder known for creating beautiful homes in desirable locations. Our client is dedicated to maintaining excellence and innovation in their projects, earning them a top-tier reputation in the industry.

This role is integral to an established technical team, working closely with the land and technical departments and collaborating with other teams within the company. The successful candidate will:

  • Support the preparation of civil design concepts for site feasibilities, including ground modeling.
  • Assist in creating technically complete civil design packages for new developments.
  • Utilise design software for highways, drainage, and earthworks(PDS, AutoCAD)
  • Aid in obtaining technical approvals with relevant authorities.
  • Collaborate with the Architectural Manager to provide design information for planning and building regulations submissions.
  • Work closely with the Development Engineer on new and live schemes.
  • Liaise with Structural Engineers on projects involving structural elements such as culverts, bridges, and retaining structures.
  • Address queries from commercial sales and site teams related to design elements, ensuring design compliance through site visits as needed.
  • Coordinate with external consultants.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with civil design software(Ideally Causeway PDS)
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
