Teach Plus are currently working with a welcoming and nurturing, one form entry primary school located in Balham, Wandsworth who are seeking an EYFS Lead Teacher for September.

The school is a 'Good' local community school with a fantastic reputation, the senior leadership team build solid relationships with the children and families and is well supported by parents and the local community. They are a high achieving school, with results in the top 20% in the country for Math's, Reading and Writing. They offer a creative, cross curricular curriculum which is supported by ambitious, specialist teachers and lead practitioners.

The school are looking for an EYFS Lead Teacher, with full classroom responsibilities in Nursery. The role is ideal for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career, or for someone with recent EYFS Lead experience looking for a new challenge.

As an EYFS Lead Teacher you will be expected to:

  • Take on full classroom responsibilities for a Nursery Class, including planning, preparation, marking and assessments
  • Plan well-structured lessons in accordance with the EYFS National Curriculum
  • Maintain consistent relationships with parents surrounding their academic progression
  • Attend meetings and INSET days to further support the internal development of the school

As an EYFS Lead Teacher you will be:

  • Responsible for organising and managing teaching and learning in the EYFS Foundation Stage, including effective Performance Appraisal of staff
  • Support the creation and implementation of the school development plan, especially as it relates to the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom
  • Support the vision, aims, ethos and policies of the school and promote high levels of achievement

The ideal candidate for the EYFS Lead Teacher will have:

  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS National Curriculum
  • At least three years' experience as an EYFS Class Teacher
  • A strong work ethic who is willing to commit for at least one academic year
  • Have a strong desire to take on additional responsibilities, demonstrating commitment and eagerness to develop your career further
  • UK recognized Teaching Qualification with QTS
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
