We are currently recruiting for skilled CNC Grinder workers, to work on site. The role will involve CNC grinding of Aerospace equipment , in accordance with Manufacturing Instructions, Specifications and Customer/ Regulator Requirements, working within an team to meet delivery requirements and reporting directly to the team Lead.

Main Responsibilities:

* Internal/External grinding using MDI (Manual Data Input) CNC machinery, surface grinding and thread grinding
* OCQ - Operator Control of Quality (i.e. Stamping to confirm quality of assemblies.
* To achieve on time delivery by ensuring work is completed on time and to the required standard
* Interpreting engineering drawings, following the process layout and documentation procedures
* Working effectively in a lean environment.

Pay Rates: From £18.34 - £21.65 per hour

Hours below:

Days

  • Mon to Thurs (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 12:00)

Days/Late Swing Shift

  • Days - Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) & Friday (07:00 to 13:00)
  • Lates - Monday to Thursday (15:30 to 00:00)

Qualifications & Experience Required for the CNC Grinder:


* Knowledge of grinding tolerances/ finishes to Aerospace Standard i.e. 0.0002"
internal/external diameter, 2-4 Micro Inch surface finishes and concentricity of 0.0002"
* Honing experience
* Knowledge of hand measuring equipment such as digital micrometer, comparators, air plug gauges and surface finish measuring equipment
* High standard of Health & Safety
* Adhering to Company Processes & Procedures
* Working in a Customer-focused environment and achieving targets
* Working and communicate with Designers and Engineers

Skills Required for CNC Grinder:

* The position requires the applicant to have an understanding of Aerospace practice and the significance of the safety critical work undertaken
* PC literate
* The applicant should be able to display essential skills in the adherence to Health & Safety standards at all times, teamwork, flexibility and the ability to use initiative
* Machining skills are desirable

** The successful candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and be able to pass all appropriate background and security checks. **

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening.
