Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

£36k-£40k Basic Salary (Fully Employed) + Benefits

Location - Woking, Surrey - Site Based

We currently have a superb opportunity for an experienced and Mechanical bias Operations and Maintenance Engineer to join one of our clients who are a leading provider of services to the CHP (Combined Heat and Power), Power Generation and District Energy sector.

Job Summary:

• Based out of Woking, your main responsibility will be to operate and maintain mechanical plant and equipment within CHP energy centres and network customers' premises.
• Service, diagnose faults and repair a wide range of mechanical plant with particular emphasis on internal combustion engines, generators, and CHP units.
• Monitoring of performance and status, early diagnosis of faults and working to PPM lists to maximise operating efficiency, availability, and asset life, with utilisation of CMMS and reporting systems.
• Be part of an on-call rota.

Key Skills Required:

• Qualified and experienced mechanical maintenance engineer, holding relevant mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ standard, relevant apprenticeship / qualification in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in maintenance and repair for commercial pumps, motors, valves etc.
• Ideally service / maintenance experience with power generating plant, electrical distribution, pumped heat and chilled water systems.
• CHP (combined heat & power) or generator experience desired.
• Royal Navy / Marine Engineering background considered.
