The Opportunity

We are excited to announce an opening for a Lab Manager in our Cement Division based at our Cauldon site. You’ll lead and manage the Lab to ensure that the quality of intermediate and final products comply with agreed product specifications and product targets and provide input to ensure that products are competitive on the market.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan, organize and manage sampling, measurements and analysis throughout the production process.

  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of equipment.

  • Carefully evaluate plant quality performance, timely identifying any deviation from standards and investigate potential root causes in collaboration with other departments to define corrective and preventive actions.

  • Development and implementation of quality management systems and processes.

  • Regular auditing of production processes for compliance with industry and company standards.

Product Testing and Analysis

  • Oversee and conduct rigorous testing and analysis of cement products to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Management and training of laboratory team members.

  • Collaboration with production teams to enhance product quality and efficiency.

  • Preparation of quality documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.



Who are You?

You'll have a  degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or material science and  proven experience in laboratories of industrial companies / experience in the cement or process industry and possess strong technical knowledge of cement production and quality control processes and an ability to ensure consistency of management systems concerning quality such as ISO (phone number removed).

With excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, you’ll have outstanding leadership and team management skills.

You’ll be well versed in quality management systems and compliance regulations, you have great interpersonal and communication skills, and be capable of working across departments to achieve common goals.
