Associate Director - Engineering - Flood

I am supporting a globally recognised engineering consultancy in their recruitment of an Associate Director for flood works based from their Cork offices.
The Associate Director of Flood Civil Engineering will play a key role in leading the team to develop, implement, and oversee flood control and water management projects. You will bring your expertise to drive the success of their projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the business.
Key skills and experience
- Lead project teams to deliver quality services to clients as a project manager.
- Manage a challenging and diverse workload effectively.
- Ensure deadlines are met within a Quality Management System.
- Oversee projects within time, cost, and quality constraints and standards.
- Provide professional advice, guidance, and support across the business.
- Engage in business development, including tender submissions and identifying new market opportunities.
- Represent the organization professionally.
- Ensure full compliance with the requirements of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Manage projects in compliance with the IMS.
- You will possess and be able to demonstrate a track record in identifying and winning business opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- You will have an Honours degree in Civil Engineering (QII Level 8 minimum, Level 9 preferred).
- You will be a able to demonstrate a proven track record with ideally a minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience with the majority of that time in flood risk management/drainage
- Proven experience in delivering flood relief or other water-related services, including client management and contract administration.
- You will have Knowledge of local legislation, design standards, with planning processes being a distinct advantage.

- Base salary between €80-85,000 pa
