Description

We are looking for an engaged and enthusiastic journalist to join our Verdict Editorial team, drawing on GlobalData’s own data and analysis to produce analysis and feature stories across the technology industry. The successful candidate be focused on news and news analysis with a preference for original source stories; read across the technology industry press to identify the salient stories of the day. They will carry out interviews as a matter of course, liaise with GlobalData’s analysts to inform articles and attend events for coverage.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce analysis and feature articles supported by data visualisations and rich media content

- Conduct thorough research, including interviews with key industry figures by phone, video calling or face to face

- Source data and insights from GlobalData’s business intelligence centres, reports and analysts

-  Attend industry events and conferences to source original source news stories and interview industry thought   leaders.

- Upload and schedule stories through a content management system

What We Look For

- Educated to degree level, with a media or journalism qualification desirable but not essential

- At least one years’ experience in journalism, with a track record of published work

-A genuine interest in the technology industry as domain expertise will be critical for newsworthy content creation.

- Experience working with data to produce compelling stories is a plus

- Experience of B2B writing across some sectors is desirable but not essential

- Excellent writing and research skills

- Knowledge of digital publishing, social media and SEO
