School Finance Manager - Full Time - Lewisham - September Start!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new School Finance Manager (SBM) at a Primary School within the London Borough of Lewisham.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager, who is able to focus on providing financial support alongside the Headteacher and working closely with Governors to provide budget monitoring. It is important that applicants have previous experience working within the finance department of a school. Ideally the candidate will have worked for a School or Trust previously.

The position will require you to manage a Finance Assistant and provide support to the rest of the administration office with financial queries, also providing any necessary training to those in your team who might need it or join later on down the line.

For this role, you will need to have previous experience as a Finance Manager within a school or education setting where you have used FMS and other finance software such as Access. You will need a strong understanding of accounts and budgeting.

Key Details:

Role: School Finance Manager for a Primary School

Contract: Long-term

Daily rate: £170 - £190 per day

Schedule: 35 hours per week - Monday-Friday

Start date: September 2024

As a Finance Assistant you will have:

*Extensive experience with RM Finance

*Strong IT skills

*Financial management experience within a school

*Excellent time management

*Impeccable organisation skills

*Strong communication skills

*An enhanced DBS check on the update service before starting the role

*Have an AAT, ACCA or CIMA certificate or a BA Honours in Accounting and/or Finance
