Excellent permanent job opportunity for experienced Wirers.

This leading technology company who specialises in building bespoke black box builds, enclosures and systems for critical industries are exceptionally busy at present with a full order book long in to 2025. They work within a variety of industries including Aerospace, Defence and Telecommunications.

As a Wire Person you will be building bespoke black box builds and should have experience working with D38999 - connectors as well as various crimp tools including Daniels.

To do well in this Wire Person role you will have a strong background in the assembly, fitting and wiring of complex box builds, control panels and cabinets.

An MoD working background and previous experience working to IPC standards would be beneficial.

Wire Person Requirements:

  • Must have experience of Assembling, Wiring, Box build and Soldering within a high-end production environment
  • Previous experience of working to IPC Standards (620, J-Std, 7711/21 etc) - certifications is not essential but any experience is greatly beneficial
  • Proven experience of all aspects of box builds manufacturing processes
  • Have good attention to detail to maintain or exceed high levels of production standards
  • Previous experience of working with Defence and Aerospace connectors and wires


Wire Person Responsibilities:

  • Working in a small team of specialised assembly technicians assembling complex, high value, electronic products in small/medium volumes
  • Regular wiring, cable assembly and electro-mechanical assembly
  • Production of products to the highest quality and reliability standards are paramount
  • Perform/prepare build, test or inspection activities before and during product manufacturing
  • Experience of working from complex engineering drawings and diagrams
  • Able to produce neat and intricate wiring
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions, drawings and BOM's
