Streetworks Inspector

This role requires extensive experience in NRSWA inspections, as well as a current NRSWA supervisor streetworks card. The successful candidate must have a car.
Job Requirements
- Extensive experience in NRSWA inspections
- Current NRSWA supervisor streetworks card
- Must have own vehicle (parking permits provided)
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
- In-depth knowledge of street and road works legislation and Health and Safety at live sites
- Sound understanding of the SROH for interpretation of coring results
- Ability to serve S74, FPNs and defect fines
- Capacity to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake liaison duties with utilities and understand their apparatus
- Assess reinstatement materials and performance levels on different road classifications
- Lead on introducing processes to close historic trenches in line with new legislation
- Conduct site meetings to represent the Council and uphold its reputational and financial obligations
- Issue defect notices and manage challenges by statutory undertakers
- Oversee approximately 800/900 sites to ensure timely closure of reinstatements before the financial year end
This is a three-month rolling contract role which includes provisions such as a laptop and mobile phone. Parking permits will be provided to avoid parking violations in certain areas.
