Quantity Surveyor

PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to Join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the Leicestershire and will involve work within multiple sectors within Civils, including; Water, Infrastructure and Dredging.
Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities
- Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts.
- Assist in keeping costs to a minimum using commercial acumen and construction experience.
- Process payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers.
- Perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
- Ensuring proper administration of the Contract Requirements.
- Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
- Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
- Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course
- Experience working on Civils related projects
- Experience working with NEC Contracts, Preferably A-D
- Good IT Skills and Use of Microsoft Packages
- Good data interrogation skills
- Bid Knowledge
- Excellent legal/contractual knowledge
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Valid driving licence
Quantity Surveyor Benefits
- Salary - £35,000 - £45,000
- Based in Leicestershire
