Science Teacher

Location: Leeds LS12

Start: September 2023

Contract: Supply with Temp to Perm

On behalf of one of our "Good" rated secondary partners in Leeds, AK Teaching West Yorkshire are looking to recruit a Science teacher for the new academic year. You will be experienced in teaching Key Stages 3 and 4 and have completed your PGCE as a minimum.

You must have:
• A Valid UK Teaching Qualification (QTS)
• Experience working in UK schools or educational settings
• An ability to work confidently with children, with a professional approach
• A valid DBS (we can assit with the application)
• Eligibility to work in the UK FULL TIME
• Two professional references - we will determine what they will be

Candidates will need experience of working in Key Stages 3 and 4 following the Science curriculum and will be supported by a dedicated and experienced team.

AK Teaching West Yorkshire are looking for somebody with:
- Drive and ambition
- Experience of teaching Science from past employment or teaching placements
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptable across subjects and a good Science curriculum knowledge
- Qualified Teacher status with a good understanding of differentiation and behaviour management

All candidates will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the DBS (permission to check the update service if the candidate already holds a DBS). We will require further consent to carry out recruitment checks.
