We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team on a Temp to Perm basis for one our clients based in Rochester. This role involves transporting and delivering goods to various locations while ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards. Our client is a leading provider in the power generation and load testing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV
• Transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular vehicle checks
• Adhere to all CPC and Digital Tacho regulations
• Complete required paperwork accurately and promptly

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 HGV License
• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
• Digital Tacho Card
• Previous experience as a Class 2 HGV Driver preferred
• Strong understanding of transportation and safety regulations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Employment Details

• Pay Rate (Temp Period): £15.69 per hour
• Basic Rate (Permanent): £31,428 annually
• Overtime Rates:
  • First 6 hours: 1.5x
  • Thereafter: 2x
  • Saturday: 1.5x
  • Sunday: 2x
• Expenses: Paid for when working over 8 hours
• Schedule: Monday – Friday with weekend shifts available
• Duration: 13-week Temp to Perm period, followed by a permanent transfer to client
