About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maths Teacher to join our specialised Key Stage 3 SEMH setting in Croydon. This full-time, long-term role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of young people, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage 3 students with SEMH.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages student well-being and learning.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress and development.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and self-esteem.
• Engage with parents and carers to build effective home-school partnerships.
• Monitor and report on student progress, using assessment data to inform teaching and interventions.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in SEN education and SEMH support.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3, preferably in a SEN or SEMH setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Additional qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
