Steel Fixer x 2

We are looking for 2 Steel Fixers for a 3 month assignment to help build a number of small-medium structures on a site near Cheltenham. Project starts Thursday 27th June or Monday 1st July dependent on your availability.

If all goes well here, there will be other sites to go onto.

Pay Rate: £220 - £240 a day 
Hours: 7.00am - 5.00pm
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Duration: 3 months

Job Role:

• Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the required layout and dimensions of rebar.
• Cut and shape steel using tools such as pliers, wire cutters, and rebar benders.
• Place steel in the correct position and secure it using wire or plastic ties.
• Weld or bolt rebar pieces together as required.
• Assist shuttering carpenters with form work or pouring concrete depending on the site size and staffing
• Ensure that all rebar is installed to the required standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure that the project is completed on time and to the required quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Must possess CSCS card
• Strong knowledge of rebar installation techniques and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physically fit and able to work in a construction environment.
