WasteRecruit is thrilled to support a global consultancy group in expanding their Waste and Resource Management (WaRM) team. As part of our client's commitment to a sustainable low-carbon future, we are seeking dynamic and experienced Principal Consultants to join their UK team.

Role Overview

This senior role involves leading projects and collaborating with experts globally. The successful candidate will shape the direction of the new team, focusing on private and public sector clients in the UK and internationally. Responsibilities include delivering services throughout the project life cycle, from feasibility and strategy development to procurement, design, and due diligence. Projects will range from small incubator developments to national circular economy and waste plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement waste management strategies aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive waste audits, feasibility studies, and scheme assessments.
  • Provide technical expertise in waste processing, recycling technologies, anaerobic digestion, thermal conversion, and other energy recovery methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering, resource management, biology, or a related environmental field.
  • Proven experience in the waste management sphere.
  • Knowledgeable about UK waste management regulations, environmental legislation, and waste developments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel across the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) as required.
