Polymer Extrusion Operator - Team Leader

Our client based in Somerset, manufactures aluminium extrusions for their own window and door systems. We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator (Extrusion Operator), who will ensure that tools and machinery are cleaned correctly, using hand tools and a manual checklist.

Previous extrusion machine experience would be an advantage, although not essential as full training will be provided. However, candidates must be reliable, self-motivated, conscientious and take pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing products to ensure they meet client expectations
  • Set up and run the extrusion line to internal and customer specifications
  • Material checks to ensure the right ingredients are used
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and tools for optimal operation
  • Monitor material levels and feed the machines
  • Wrapping ready products
  • Empty scrap bins
  • Escalate any issues to the team leader

Ensure the optimal functioning of moulding machines and associated extrusion equipment.
