Heartland Care Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated Support Worker to work in a Brand New Supported living facility based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be supporting Service Users, maintain and enhance skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each Service User. This post will lead to a full-time employment for the right candidate after a 12-week induction period.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Ensure Service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
• To contribute to the efficient running of the service.
• Support Service users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community.
• Be responsible for informing the Management of any changes in the needs of Service users.
• If desired by the Service user, maintain and develop relationships with family, friends and other people important in their life.
• Provide Service users with support/assistance as they accomplish daily tasks, including bathing, eating, and dressing, grooming and using the bathroom.
• Be a role model for other Support Workers and be an ambassador for the service. Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times.

Requirements for a successful candidate:

• At least 6 months minimum UK experience in Healthcare
• Be able to communicate effectively with Service users. Support Workers must have the communication skills to inform colleagues, management and professionals about the needs of Service users.
• Need to be able to adapt and address situations quickly. Plan, develop, implement and assess approaches to promote health and well-being, whilst recognising and reporting situations where there might be a need for protection.
• Have at least Level 2 NVQ Health and Social. This is desirable however not essential.
