About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for our Client in Ingatestone, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling both private and local government projects, demonstrating a strong ability to manage financial aspects of construction projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and evaluate project cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
  • Conduct cost analysis and cost management for ongoing projects.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and local government authorities to ensure projects meet financial and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and manage contracts, including negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare detailed financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a mix of private and local government project experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and project management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, QS software).
