Position: Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for our Client in Ingatestone, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling both private and local government projects, demonstrating a strong ability to manage financial aspects of construction projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and evaluate project cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
- Conduct cost analysis and cost management for ongoing projects.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and local government authorities to ensure projects meet financial and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and manage contracts, including negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Monitor project progress and prepare detailed financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a mix of private and local government project experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and project management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, QS software).
