My client is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their successful multi-disciplinary professional design consultancy. This role involves working within one of their Building Surveying Teams, focusing on education and public sector housing projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong drive and ambition to excel in a collaborative and successful division. 
  
Building Surveyor Key Qualifications:
- Chartered Surveyor or Member of the Institute of Building.
- Proven track record in building surveying, particularly in Public-Sector Housing and Education projects.
- Full technical proficiency and up-to-date contract knowledge.
- Self-motivated, confident, with excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead specific projects as needed.
- Strong experience in Public Sector Housing.
  
  
Associate Building Surveyor Key Job Objectives:
- Deliver a full range of professional building surveying services.
- Build long-term relationships with clients by providing excellent service.
- Support the consultancy in delivering tailored solutions for clients.
  
Building Surveyor Job Tasks:
- Manage technical work and projects under the direction of a Senior Manager, including:
  - Liaising with clients on technical matters.
  - Taking full responsibility for technical aspects of projects within your control.
- Collaborate with in-house disciplines as necessary.
- Program your work and resources to ensure the satisfactory completion of all projects.
- Understand job profitability objectives and provide accurate cash flow projections to the partner.
- Manage small technical teams as appropriate.
  
What you will be doing:
- Provide a full range of professional services including:
  - Conducting structural surveys and acquisition inspections of buildings.
  - Performing building defects analysis.
  - Writing specifications, administering contracts, and managing public sector housing projects.
  - Preparing and submitting applications for statutory consent and liaising with relevant authorities.
