Principal People are delighted to be working in collaboration with a unique and specialist Construction and Engineering organisation looking for a Health and Safety Manager to be part of their successful and established business. Covering a diverse portfolio of projects across the North West and parts of the Midlands, this position will report directly into the Managing Director.

This hybrid and autonomous position will report to an office in Warrington 2-3 days per week, work from home 1-2 days per week and visit site approximately 1 day per week.

Key Responsibilities of this Health and Safety Manager include:
  • Implement and maintain HSEQ management systems.
  • Review method statements and risk assessments.
  • Drive a positive health and safety culture throughout the wider business.
  • Managing training across all areas of the business.
  • Conduct site inspections and advise on all H&S matters.

The successful Health and Safety Manager will hold:

  • NEBOSH General certificate or NEBOSH Construction certificate or equivalent.
  • Management system experience and good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Health and Safety experience working within Construction, Engineering, M&E, Hard Services, Facilities Management or similar.
  • Full UK Driver’s License.

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • A basic salary of £55,000 - £60,000
  • The option for an electric company car or £5,700 car allowance per year.
  • Discretionary bonus up to £3,000 per year.
  • 25 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Private pension scheme – 6% company contribution
