We are small housing association based in Croydon with big goals, employing just over 50 members of staff looking after 1600 homes. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Housing Services Team.

What you will achieve in the role: To deliver an effective Housing Management and Income Recovery Service for residents living in our older persons and supported housing accommodation, ensuring a high standard of service whilst making sure our residents are adhering to the terms of their accommodation agreements.

You will be working with other teams internally as well as support workers, care providers and other external organisations supporting residents. As well as the day to day, you will support with the delivery of projects within the team and service improvements such as working on policies and procedures.

What you’ll bring to ccha: You’ll be a knowledgeable housing officer with experience of effective income recovery and great customer service skills. You will have experience of working with the legal framework of managing arrears and working to support residents with housing management issues such as anti-social behaviour, tenancy changes (such as assignments, ending tenancies, succession etc.) You will be an excellent communicator and record keeper, making sure that all your notes are clear and up to date and working closely with your manager, colleagues, residents and external partners as needed.

Key skills required:

  • Understanding/Experience of the housing sector. 
  • Excellent standard of numeracy and literacy 
  • Able to present information clearly, systematically, and accurately ability to use own initiative and communicate decisions. 
  • Good IT knowledge and skills  
  • Able to work within a strong team environment, covering for others when needed.
  • Able to plan, organise and manage own workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills - customer focused, empathetic and supportive of residents 

Desirable 

  • Ability and experience in report writing. 
  • Experience in a similar administrative and supportive role. 

Essential requirements:

  • DBS check
  • Current, valid driving licence
