Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant 

Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm through PK Education, September start

Salary: £90 - £105 per day (experience dependent)

PK Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a large, diverse, and vibrant primary school in central Leeds. This is a full-time, temp to perm position, offering a fantastic opportunity for career growth.

About the Role:

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the school, with a significant focus on assisting EAL (English as an Additional Language) pupils and those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.

Additionally, the school is passionate about sports, providing you with the exciting opportunity to get involved in running football clubs and after-school sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide targeted support to KS2 pupils, particularly EAL pupils and those with SEND and SEMH needs.

- Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

- Assist in planning and delivering interventions and differentiated activities.

- Get involved in the school's vibrant sports programs, including running football clubs and after-school sessions.

- Monitor and report on pupil progress, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.

Requirements:

- Experience working with children in an educational setting.

- Understanding of EAL, SEND, and SEMH strategies and support mechanisms.

- A passion for sports and willingness to actively participate in school sports programs.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

- Ability to forge positive and meaningful relationships with pupils.
