Monday to Friday - Days only.
 
 
A Roadside Technician is required to attend client sites as required to carry out essential repair and/or maintenance of electric/hybrid vehicles. Along with a salary of up to £37,500 per annum, you will also receive a breakdown allowance, call out allowance, overtime opportunities and a company van for work use.
  
You will be based in Norfolk, travelling across the UK to client sites as required. When not out on calls with client’s time will be spent in the workshop supporting the build of electric vehicles so you could be working on your own or within a team of other technicians.
Maintaining a safe working environment is critical to this role together with adherence to internal and customer Health & Safety control measures and wearing of required PPE.
  
As Roadside Technician, your responsibilities will include:
  • Diagnosing and repairing EV/Hybrid Vehicles.
  • Attending to vehicles at the roadside or customer site.
  • Maintaining EV/Hybrid vehicles.
  • Assembling EV vehicles in production including assembling/disassembling of EV Motors, Gearboxes, Power electronics.
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
  • Diagnosing and quality checking completed work
  • Frequently travelling offsite to clients or suppliers as required across the UK and very occasionally on an international basis.
  • Communicating with customers on site.
  
We’re looking for a Roadside Technician with the following skills, experience and qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 or HNC/BTEC in Engineering
  • Level 3 IMI accreditation - Electric/Hybrid Vehicles
  • A valid UK drivers Licence
  • Experience in breakdown/roadside repairs
  • Experience in the use of diagnostic Software
  • Strong diagnostic capabilities, both electrical and mechanical
  • Experience of vehicle maintenance, pneumatics & hydraulics with electrical bias being an advantage
  • Operate tooling, machinery and equipment related to assembly, repairs and modification of EV vehicles.
  • Proficient with MS office suite of applications specifically: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams & SharePoint.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety and PPE
  • Physical fitness is required as the role involves lifting and manual handling and operation of equipment and power tools.
You will be working 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30 + overtime as and when required, including some weekends.
